Ever since I graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology in 1993, my career has revolved around three main focus areas:
- Creating products that customers love by understanding their needs
- Building a solid fundament for these products by mastering the technology
- Selling services to market-leading companies to monetize these two skills
Early in my career, I was the worst salesperson you can think of. I have always been a doer, a systematic person with a lot of energy, so I had no trouble with the first two but needed a lot of help with the third one.
It took me years to understand that selling became much easier for me when I didn’t even try to be “salesy.”
It sounds obvious when someone says it, yet few people do it: identify a concrete need, package a solution, and it will almost sell itself.
This leads me to where I am now. Working in an online business is ideal for someone who is not the type of person who likes to “sell sand in a desert.” There are literally millions of people out there whom I can help by writing articles about my areas of expertise. Out of 1,000 people, 999 won’t buy anything from me. That’s perfectly fine because once in a while, the timing Is just right for someone, and they want me to help them with these things:
💡    Get clarity, plan their new online business, and execute during its first three to six months.
🚀    Learn how to create an offer that outshines their competitors and waste less time doing it.
🤖    Set up a super-easy-to-use marketing and sales automation platform that does much of the work for them on autopilot.
